Why did Rustad get booted from BC United?
If you've never read much about Rustad's history, it's never too late to learn:

BC Conservative party is nuts part 2
What happened to the document at Scribd that this article references? Jas Johal hasn't made mention of it disappearing yet. However, this is still a good reference of the incredibly dense things BCCP candidates say and stand for, much of which should, in an ideal world, disqualify the person from being in a potential position of power.

BC Conservative party is nuts. Who would vote for these chuds?
Remember Corally Delwo? She's the party’s regional director for the Central Interior and Columbia regions.
She's a right-wing nutjob that is dying to get some power somewhere to ensure that she can take the culture wars to the people. Freedumb (for her but not for you, fuckface)! While she's not currently running for a position in political office, this just shows what kind of people are involved in the BCCP.
Lest we forget: (Copied from https://www.reddit.com/r/Kamloops/comments/wc0twu/comment/iia26xw/ )
There is a nice little collection on the Internet Archive with a few of her campaign's Tweets from last year. With some solid goodies such as:
- Claiming that the Canadian governments "choose to reject 100s of yrs of virology knowledge" and were using the pandemic in order "to create total reliance on the state"
- Calling for civil disobedience in response to the vaccine passport
- Encouraging people to "disrupt" the province's public health response.
- Comparing those who choose to not be vaccinated to Jews during the Holocaust
- Claiming that "The most prominent racism in our society today is antisemitic racism and anti-white racism."
- Bonus points for retweeting likely Russian Asset Tulsi Gabbard on the topic of anti-white racism.
- Alleging that "drag storytime" library events are part of an effort aimed at "normalizing pedophilia"
- This
- Complaining about the government expecting civil servants to communicate in a professional manner.
- Support of various "anti-lockdown protests"
- Claims about lockdowns killing more Canadians than COVID
- Pushing Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19, well after studies had begun to show it was ineffective as a treatment.
What a great neighbour!

Poilievre is anti-choice
Don't let Poilievre fool you (why are so many conservative leaders total grifters these days?), it doesn't matter much what he says about the abortion issue. He's anti-choice, and here's a great rundown of the whole issue.
More recently, his CPC party seems whipped in to shape to vote down any pro-choice voice.
Watch out, Canada, the CPC will drive us back to the dark ages,

Name something Poilievre has fixed
Poilievre is leading in polls primarily because the current Liberal government has been in office during unprecedented difficult times. I'm not a big fan of the current Liberal party, but as far as things go, Canada has not fared as terribly as you might believe.
But I'm not here to discuss the current party in power, I'm posting because we're heading down a terrible path if we put Trump-Lite in charge.
Here's a starting point for the conversation about PeePee, and this comes from Bruce Fanjoy - Poilievre has been in politics for over 19 years (he's a career politician - remember that). In his 19+ years, can you name something Poilievre has fixed?
While Poilievre is a seasoned politician, he sure as hell isn't refined. He acts like a douchebag, someone who should not be put in power, and among other things, would reflect very poorly on Canada on the world stage. Did you think Trump did a good job or is it utter insanity, an unbelievable joke, that he wound up in power? (hint: It's the latter)
Again, what Bruce Fanjoy has said rings pretty clear:
“He is not a thoughtful man. His thinking on complex issues is shallow. He doesn’t surround himself with challengers, just yes men. He is autocratic and lacking in substance. Many of the things Canadians admire will be in his crosshairs if he wins. A retreat on gun control, human rights, women’s reproductive rights.”
